Apply to Become an AiGC Authorized Operator
Take the next step toward launching in Alberta's iGaming market.
Before you Start
To operate an iGaming site in Alberta, operators must first register with AGLC to prove eligibility and technical capability. Please ensure you have completed AGLC’s regulatory process before starting your operating application with AiGC.
How to Apply
Operating in Alberta requires approval from two separate provincial Crown agencies. You must first fulfill all regulatory requirements with AGLC before proceeding to your operating agreement application with AiGC.
Phase 1
AGLC Registration
Begin by applying for registration with AGLC to initiate your regulatory approval.
AGLC’s Three-Pronged Evaluation
As part of registration, AGLC will guide you through three critical regulatory steps:
- Due Diligence: A thorough background check to ensure your organization’s integrity, security, and financial stability.
- Compliance: Technical testing and verification to guarantee your platform meets Alberta’s strict gaming standards.
- Self-Exclusion Program: Mandatory integration with the province’s centralized responsible gaming tools to protect players.

Go-Live
With both your AGLC registration and AiGC operating agreement in hand, you are fully authorized to launch your platform and accept real-money bets and deposits.
